Management Excellence

How do you meaningfully improve the performance of 16,000 managers?

When a global high-tech company launched a campaign to improve its employees’ experience companywide, it identified helping people become better managers as a key pillar of the campaign. Exemplary Performance worked with company leadership to identify the best managers on a global basis – and capture their best practices.  As a result, the company’s Corporate Learning organization transformed the way it delivers management development training from an instructor-led method to a blended approach that includes on-the-job learning and point-of-need job aids. The organization delivered the new solution in a digital notebook created in Microsoft® Office OneNote®. Now, managers are better able to retain key lessons as training is more closely integrated with daily management responsibilities, while job aids guide their less frequently performed tasks. The new approach has resulted in a 30 percent increase in the use of training materials. Additionally, the company saves hundreds of thousands of dollars a year from this move towards paperless management training content.

Need to improve performance over a large geographic area, have the ability to update materials without reconvening a resident course – and make training relevant to job outputs that matter?
