Greg Long - Principal Consultant

Greg Long is a Principal Consultant at Exemplary Performance headquarters in Annapolis, Maryland.  He has over 20 years experience in the learning and technology field and has provided strategic consulting services to numerous firms in the U.S. and overseas.  His work has focused on improving performance through a combination of strategies involving learning, knowledge management, and information design and delivery systems. Greg has also authored numerous articles and presentations for national and international conferences and journals.

He has extensive experience in conceptualizing, designing and developing strategic e-learning and blended learning solutions for various communities, both in the United States and internationally.  These programs have resulted in dramatic increases in retention and certification, while reducing cost, seat time and individual time-to-competence.

Greg has also worked on developing and implementing performance improvement, support systems and processes for numerous industries including pharmaceutical, financial, manufacturing, insurance and other complex, knowledge-based environments.  These systems included content and knowledge management, multilingual support, and work and information flow automation.  In addition, he has lead the development of proprietary patented e-learning technology, designed for improving the fidelity of complex learning simulations through the remote use of real equipment.  This technology was deployed internationally in multiple languages, including oriental character sets.

Most recently, Greg has been bringing his consulting expertise and processes to bear improving sales force performance.  Projects include working with brand teams as well as sales representatives to help identify and implement opportunities for improving business performance.

Greg graduated with a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.  He went on to earn his Masters in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.  He and his wife have 2 children and live in Annapolis, Maryland, where they enjoy bicycling and other outdoor activities.
