Matthew Holcomb - Principal Consultant

Matt Holcomb is a Principal Consultant for Exemplary Performance based in San Francisco, California. He has 14 years experience in consulting, sales, and management functions across the high tech, retail, public sector and professional services industries. His work has focused on strategic planning, organization design, and process and performer improvement. Matt has authored articles and presentations centered on human performance, line manager opportunities to improve business performance and integrating people, process and organizational levels to achieve results.

Matt has extensive consulting experience across more than 15 countries throughout the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. His client experiences have resulted in deep knowledge of how sales, marketing and industry-centric business units organize, plan, and execute strategies to achieve business results.

Matt’s work and client deliverables that he leverages across clients focus on internal cross-group orchestration, team and role performance excellence, and process clarity that enables people to work effectively. Recent projects centered on internal business unit assimilation, improved sales force performance, sales process improvements, team-centric accomplishments against key competitors and enabling clients to be self-sufficient internal performance consultants.

Prior to joining Exemplary Performance, Matt was President of Holcomb Performance, LLC, a consultancy focused on people and process performance optimization.  Matt also was a manager for BearingPoint in the Public Sector practice for several years and a sales manager for SPSS, Inc.

Matt graduated with a BS in Marketing from Michigan State University.  He, his wife and son live in San Francisco, CA, where they enjoy bicycling through the Golden Gate National Park, hiking and other outdoor activities.
