Strategic Partners work with an organization’s managers to define, align, and implement people initiatives that benefit the business. Have you equipped your internal business-client-facing team members with the knowledge, skills and tools to perform this role successfully?
Tailored to your needs, our in-house Strategic Partnering skill-building workshops focus on the entry or partnering phase of the strategic and tactical workflow process. Prior to the workshop, our expert facilitators partner with you to learn more about your organization and can design skill practices and activities based on your unique needs.
An essential skill of strategic business partners and performance consultants is the practice of reframing. Reframing is a technique to shift the discussion focus away from implementation of the particular solution (such as a request for training) to clarify the desired results as well as the performance gaps and their causes. This protects both the internal client and the strategic partner from committing to the wrong solution. Watch a strategic business partner and client meet to discuss a training request. See how the business partner positions the discussion to reframe the client’s request. Reframing video clip
Coaching and reinforcement are the factors that most influence whether skills learned are applied. Table coaches provide guidance and real-time feedback during the workshop. After the workshop, coaches support the application of skills and the execution of individual action plans. Exemplary Performance can also provide coaching, over the phone or face-to-face, to internal coaches or workshop attendees on a planned or as-needed basis to foster success. Depending on your needs, we develop internal coaches to serve in that role or provide expert coaches from the EP team.
